Into to the News

I Watched the look East news dated 17/06/2018 at 10:20pm they covered stories which talked about, A stabbing that happened in North Hampton, Someone being arrested in the South End for murder. They talked about Football and how Dino Maamria got into football and becoming a manager. When the news starts they make it all red and with images flashing in the background to make your eyes catch it so you know the news is on and they also use music out loud this way you can hear that the news has started so you have to watch it.

There are 3 people that are in this video and it is the main presenter Amanda goodman who introduces the new then there is Jenny Kirk who is on site for the stabbing in North Hampton and then there is Jonathan Park who is the sports person who talked about football and Dino Maamira. The skills needed for presenting are the ability to talk in proper English and be confident also being able to improvise when it is needed as you don't know what could happen. you will need to be able to research and a good memory.

News ordering is how we order the news so the news would be put with the most important piece of news first to the least important piece. So we would see about a bombing before we learn about some author and their book. The reason the first story is shown is so people can know about the bombing and if they need to contact anyone they can.
The ability to act fast on the news is a good ability to have as when you are presenting the news if someone messes up with the order of the news or even just a computer malfunction you need to improvise so you can and still do the news this way you still get the stories out. This could also be the wrong guest going out or the wrong story for the guest so you just have to act fast.
A slow news day is when there is nothing big to report on so they will revisit recent stories or talk about smaller stories to fill the gap that you would have where the big story should be.
News Values are the guidelines used by newspapers or broadcasting companies. This is to determine how important the story is and how much screen time it should receive.

Being bias in the news can being a big thing as it would start from the journalist writing the story and then the the editor can choose to add it or not to. With the story it can not include items that

are needed as it will make people look bad. when you see a news paper the headlines are always bold this way it will make you see it and read about it. and because its in the news it must be true. how we place the stories as well don't help as if your reading a local newspaper they will start with a stabbing that has happened and nearer the end you will read about the how the local council will destroy a place to make more homes and as its further back it makes it seem like it is not important.
